The son of a Hall of Fame jockey, Laffit Pincay, III is one of the original members of HRTV's on-air talent stable, since the network's beginning in 2002.

Since that time, he has carved his own niche as one of the sport's most respected personalities while filling a host of integral roles for HRTV.  Pincay continues to host two important shows -- "Pursuit of the Crown" and "Pursuit of the Cup"-- as well hosting daily coverage of the network's extensive racing schedule.

One of HRTV's signature voices, he has anchored the network's coverage of the Triple Crown events -- Kentucky Derby (beginning in 2007), the Preakness Stakes (2004-2010), and the Belmont Stakes (2009-10).  His travels on the road for HRTV also include the Breeders' Cup (2003-10), the Florida Derby in 2010, and most major stakes races/events from Santa Anita.

In addition to his work with HRTV, Pincay has also handled numerous assignments for NBC Sports and the NBC Sports Network in the last three years (2011-13), including the Triple Crown and "Summer at Saratoga" series.  In addition, for the past two racing campaigns, Pincay has been an involved in the coverage of the Breeders' Cup and the Santa Anita Derby.  In 2013, he also joined the coverage of the Florida Derby in 2013.

In 2011 for Versus (now the NBC Sports Network), Pincay handled duties involving weekly key races at Saratoga, and Fall stakes races from Keeneland.  He was also involved in NBC Sports' coverage of the 2011 Travers from the Spa.

Previous work includes coverage of the Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs for CBS Sports (2007-08), and the Breeders' Cup for ESPN in 2007.

His legendary father gained Hall of Fame entry in 1975, and the younger Pincay grew up around the game and horseracing has always been part of his identity.  He recalls many trips to the track, rooting for his legendary father, and cultivating appreciation for the sport well beyond the perspective of a jockey's son.
Prior to joining HRTV, Laffit served as a sports anchor in New York and California.
