A long-time fixture on the New York racing circuit, Richard Migliore joined HRTV in 2010, shortly after retiring from the saddle.
Since joining the network, Migliore has been a valuable, insightful presence on a number of shows, including "Pursuit of the Cup" and "Pursuit of the Crown".
He contributes daily reports from the Breeders' Cup, and also imparts his insights for all the Triple Crown races.
Additionally, Migliore has reported on major races in the New York area.
Shortly after being added to HRTV’s announcing cadre in 2010, he was part of its Breeders’ Cup coverage.
Migliore also works for the New York Racing Association, serving as broadcast analyst and racing office associate, and is actively involved with NYRA's Apprentice Program for apprentice jockeys, imparting his expertise in the areas of riding skills, race strategies, and safe riding practices.
A leading rider on the New York circuit for the bulk of his career, Migliore won 4,450 races during nearly a three-decade span in the saddle.
He won the 1981 Eclipse Award as the nation's Top Apprentice rider, and later in his career was bestowed with the George Woolf Memorial Award.
He had 15 Breeders' Cup mounts, and won the inaugural Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint with Desert Code in 2008. He finished a decorated career with 362 stakes wins, including 25 Grade 1 victories.
