Digital Asset Coordinator
HRTV needs a sharp, dependable, professional individual to manage and maintain an orderly library of digital media through the use of computer systems. The role involves coordinating the usage and copying of digital media and maintaining a log system of such.
The Digital Asset Coordinator works closely with producers and production staff on acquiring assets for broadband distribution, ensures all digital content is properly encoded and distributed appropriately, edits content for specific distribution, and manages all assets for quality, backup, catalog and storage. Also included in the role is monitoring of the website and other broadband initiatives for daily content updates, meta data, SEO optimization and uploads.
The successful candidate will be an expert in transcoding with advanced knowledge of a/v codecs, wrappers and SD, HD and PAL formats, compression standards, expert level in a MAC OS, fluent with computer scripting, various web based CMS use, and have a strong working knowledge of Adobe CS, Final Cut Pro, Avid, AJA and Matrox cards, LTO tape formats, DigiBeta tape decks, Omneon Servers, frame rate and aspect ratio conversions Retrospect, bru, Quicktime, and FTP applications.
Requirements:
· BA in Television / Film or Communications
· Min 2 years experience working closely with broadcast equipment and systems listed above and in maintaining data; must be well versed in television production and have a strong grasp of standard broadcast operations
· PC/MAC proficiency
· Demonstrate strong FCP abilities, proficient with encoding software, bit rates and compression formats, strong knowledge of HTML and FTP protocols. Proficiency with various SDK’s and broadband/mobile development.
· A love of sports, especially horse racing is a strong plus.
