The opening block of Equestrian Life programming will debut on HRTV this Monday, June 7, with four, half-hour premieres of interesting, wide-ranging shows, commencing at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
"For the Love of Horses" will kickoff the quartet of shows (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT), offering behind-the-scenes looks at interesting stories. This week's show features polo, allowing viewers to explore through the eyes of Ralph Lauren model and premier player, Nacho Figueras.
Next up will be "A Rider's Story," which will feature profiles on top athletes, horses, and leaders in the equestrian industry. Headlined in this episode will be stories shared of Steffen Peters, the 2009 World Cup Finals Dressage Champion and three-time Olympian, and Andrea Fappani, the youngest National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Million Dollar rider.
The third Equestrian Life show in the sequence is the "The Mane Event," which will cover the competition from the 2010 Cactus Reining Classic from Scottsdale, AZ.
The culmination of the opening block of Equestrian Life offerings will be "Horsing Around the World," a travel and lifestyle show that captures the equestrian lifestyle. This week's destination is Palm Springs, CA, and a visit to Smoke Tree Ranch and Stables, Eldorado Polo Club, and Showjumping at HITS Thermal.
In the weeks ahead, Equestrian Life programming on HRTV will also include a "Masters Series," which will offer unique education and instruction in clinic-type formats, with experts instructing in riding, trail, cutting, working horse and conformation.
MONTY ROBERTS' BACKSTAGE PASS
Known as, The Man Who Listens to Horses, Monty Roberts developed a method of communicating with horses using their natural body language and a technique he calls Join-Up®. Founded on a consistent set of principles, communication, and trust, Monty’s methods assert that violence is never the answer. In his world tour, Monty’s Backstage Pass highlights his sessions with young and ‘troubled’ horses.
