HRTV DEBUTS THE PLAYER ON DEC. 26, SANTA ANITA'S OPENING DAY
Arcadia, CA, Dec. 20 -- HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will unveil a unique two-hour daily handicapping-based segment, The Player, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, debuting during the network's Opening Day coverage of the prestigious Santa Anita Winter/Spring meeting.
Hosted by Aaron Vercruysse and Jeff Siegel, The Player will primarily air on a Thursday through Sunday basis from 2 to 4 p.m. ET, with additional programming on holidays. The show will cater to serious horseplayers, while offering information and selections both in video and text format, with availability also via twitter and hrtv.com.
The in-depth two-hour block will include a mixture of analysis, wagering strategies and minute-to-minute live thoroughbred racing action, and will become a staple of HRTV's mid-afternoon racing coverage.
“The busy winter racing schedule on HRTV features tremendous action from some the sport's greatest venues -- including Santa Anita, Aqueduct, Gulfstream Park, Fair Grounds, Laurel Park, Oaklawn Park, and Golden Gate Fields," said Scott Daruty, President of HRTV.
