Arcadia, CA, March 27 -- HRTV (R) will provide racing fans an outstanding weekend of racing action, with an on-site presence at two key sites for Kentucky Derby preps -- Fair Grounds for the Grade 2, $1 million Louisiana Derby on Sunday and Gulfstream Park for the Grade 1, $1 million Florida Derby on Saturday.

The network's tandem of Kurt Hoover and Richard Migliore will be trackside at Fair Grounds all weekend, offering analysis and insights for the track's signature event, the 99th running of the Louisiana Derby on Sunday, another prominent Derby prep.  It has attracted a field of 14 starters.

A day earlier, Hoover and Migliore will report on the $500,000 Fair Grounds Oaks, along with a powerful supporting card. The weekend is chock full of stakes races to supplement the Louisiana Derby and Fair Grounds Oaks, topped by the (Grade 2) Mervin Muniz Memorial Handicap and the (Grade 2) New Orleans Handicap on Sunday's racing bill.

HRTV's Peter Lurie and Daily Racing Form's Jay Privman will be stationed in South Florida, reporting on the Florida Derby, annually a major Derby steppingstone, which is expected to feature top Derby contenders -- Union Rags and El Padrino. The Florida Derby Day card also sports five additional graded stakes events, including the $300,000 Gulfstream Oaks.

HRTV Offers Live Coverage of Dubai World Cup Night

For the seventh consecutive year, HRTV will present live coverage of the annual Dubai World Cup night, featuring the $10 million Dubai World Cup, from Meydan Racecourse in the United Arab Emirates, on Saturday.

The network's coverage will begin with the World Feed at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT, with post time for the World Cup, contested at 1 1/4 miles, listed at 1:45 p.m. ET/10:45 a.m. PT. HRTV's weekend show, Westrock Coffee First Call, will pick-up the action at its normal 11 a.m. ET time slot, carrying the races from Dubai, while previewing a big day of racing stateside.

The 17th renewal of the prestigious World Cup features over $27.2 million in purses, with nine stakes races slated to be contested. HRTV's Scott Hazelton, who returns to Dubai for the fifth straight year as part of the World Feed broadcast, will team with Caton Bredar (also working the World Feed) to offer network viewers detailed reports and late-breaking information throughout the week.

Carolyn Conley, who also serves as the network's Director of Brand Management, is also in Dubai and will contribute during the week.
