HRTV OFFERS LIVE ON-SITE COAST-TO-COAST COVERAGE OF BIG SATURDAY OF RACING AT BELMONT & SANTA ANITA
Arcadia, CA, Sept. 24, 2013 -- With the 30th edition of the Breeders' Cup drawing closer, HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will present comprehensive, on-site coast-to-coast coverage of crucial Breeders' Cup preview races from both Belmont Park and Santa Anita Park this Saturday, Sept. 28.
The two-day Breeders' Cup extravaganza offers 14 championship races and takes place at Santa Anita on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2.
This Saturday offers a total of 10 outstanding Grade 1 races, five each at both Belmont and Santa Anita, and HRTV will give viewers the latest, up-to-date information throughout the busy day, including timely paddock reports, analysis and interviews with key personalities.
The network's Richard Migliore and Caton Bredar will be stationed at Belmont Park as its annual "Super Saturday" offering unveils a spectacular array of Grade 1 events, topped by the $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup. Across the country at Santa Anita, Saturday's big day of racing is being dubbed "Breeders' Cup Challenge Day," and HRTV will continue its daily on-site coverage of the entire Fall session from "The Great Race Place" by providing blanket coverage as Cup hopefuls get tune-ups over the surface in five more Grade 1 races.
In addition to the Jockey Club Gold Cup, the stakes line-up at Belmont includes: the $600K Flower Bowl, the $400K Beldame, the $600K Joe Hirsch Turf Classic, and the $400K Vosburgh. Also, the Grade 2, $400K Kelso is on the card.
The five $250K races at Santa Anita, which highlight the opening weekend of racing, are: the FrontRunner, the Awesome Again, the Rodeo Drive, the Zenyatta Stakes, and the Chandelier.
