Arcadia, CA, July 18 -- HRTV (R), The Network For Horse Sports, will further expand its scope of producing live webcasts of premier events when it presents daily streaming coverage of the Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) from two different arenas at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, beginning this Thursday, July 19, at 7:30 a.m. ET.

HRTV will present a live streaming webcast of the event via www.hrtv.com. <http://www.hrtv.com./>  In addition, four highlight shows will be produced and air on HRTV in the near future.

Conducted by the United States Equestrian Federation, the NAJYRC is the premier equestrian competition in North America for junior and young riders, ranging from ages 14-21. Young equestrians come from the U.S., Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean Islands, to vie for team and individual FEI medals in the three Olympic equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage, eventing and the FEI World Equestrian Games disciplines of reining and endurance.

"HRTV is pleased to present live streaming coverage of an outstanding event for young equestrian hopefuls," said Scott Daruty, President of HRTV.  "With the Summer Olympics quickly approaching, this competition will give viewers a unique glimpse of some possible future Olympians."

The competition is run under rules of the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale), the international governing body for equestrian sport, and is the only FEI championship held annually in the U.S.  The event is a showcase for future equestrian stars on the world stage.  Many of North America’s best equestrians -- including Olympic medalists Greg Best, Karen O'Connor, Chris Kappler and McLain Ward -- received their first taste of international experience at NAJYRC.

The NAJYRC debuted in 1974 as an eventing challenge between the U.S. and Canada.  It further expanded when a dressage championship was added in 1981, followed by show jumping in 1982. The first complete Young Riders championship was held in British Columbia in 1982. The championships were expanded to officially include a championship division for juniors in 2006. The discipline of reining was added to the official schedule in 2008, while endurance joined the championship in 2011.

The www.hrtv.com <http://www.hrtv.com/> webcast of the NAJYRC further enhances the network's efforts to continually add quality programming to its live streaming capabilities.  This past weekend, HRTV offered the live webcast of the inaugural Totally Thoroughbred Horse Show from Pimlico in Baltimore, MD.  Earlier this year, HRTV offered live webcasts of two prominent equestrian events, and produced unique online coverage from the venues of all three Triple Crown Thoroughbred races this Spring.
