HRTV to Cover Royal Ascot, Beginning Tuesday, June 16
HRTV PROGRAMMING NOTE:
Network's Royal Ascot Coverage, Presented by XpressBet, Begins on Tuesday, June 19
HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will provide live coverage of prestigious Royal Ascot, presented by XpressBet, from the United Kingdom, beginning on Tuesday, June 19 and continuing through Saturday, June 23.
In addition to the daily race coverage, which will begin at 9 a.m. ET each day, HRTV's Jeff Siegel and Millie Ball will co-host a half-hour nightly recap show that will air on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, and Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Ascot presents brilliant racing throughout the week, with a host of Group 1 races spread over the five days. The highlight of the session figures to come on the final day, when the spotlight falls squarely on Black Caviar's start in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee.
Believed by some to be the fastest horse in the world, Black Caviar is unbeaten in 21 career starts, winning most of her races, all in Australia, with ease. Trained by Peter Moody, the Australia-bred six-year-old mare has earned $6 million.
