Scott Hazelton discusses Cigar, the very first "big" racehorse he ever loved, from watching his career to actually getting "up close and personal" with the horse, who in the mid-90s won 16 races in a row and retired as the richest North American-based runner of all time.

  Cigar is the Horse In My Heart that took my racing heart with him over the Rainbow Bridge. It sounds terribly sappy, but my love of racing, at least for now, just waned away now that he is gone. I love you big guy. I always will. Watched you win the Classic, saw you in a small window of time at Ashford Stud, and visited you last year at KHP. I am so glad you shared your brilliance with the world. Those who knew and loved you were LUCKY! RIP Cigar.

  I loved Cigar... I will always love Cigar.... As I do so many of my Hero's...Easy Goer, Prarie Bayou, Holy Bull and Pine Island, but my first love was as a little girl who fell in love with Majestic Prince. Horses are my heroes.... It's just so hard to let them go. Be an angel in heaven Cigar as you were here on Earth. Xxxox Pam
