This event will be filled with talented competitors – incredible horses – and endless excitement. The week’s competitions will build to the DDBHC Futurity Finals on Saturday, March 16th. Once the winner claims the champion title, A Night of Diamonds – featuring a live performance by Texas legend Robert Earl Keen – will begin. Proceeds from A Night of Diamonds support K9s4COPs, the non-profit foundation started by Kristi Schiller two years ago to purchase and place trained K9s with law enforcement agencies. Diamond & Dirt Barrel Horse Classic Derby and Futurity Finals Recap

The top two Derby Finals winners were Jordon Briggs riding Shake It Frenchie with a time of 15.918. And Jackie Jatzlau riding Catch the Rain with a time of 16.028. In the Futurity Finals, Vauna Walker won it all -- including more than $35,000 and a Rolex watch -- riding DTF Way Ta Fire with the fastest time all week of 15.698.
